Manufacturing, Construction & Materials
Our French daybeds are hand-tufted and hand-upholstered in our studio in Asia. Wooden components for single seaters and corner pieces (where back support is constructed) are made using premium imported wood.
Our sofas are built with high-density, high-resilience foam at 2.81 lb/ft³ — the kind that springs back after every use and holds its shape for years. With regular care, you can expect 8 years or more from a standard order, and up to 15 years from a custom piece.
We do not make “fast furniture” that warps over time.
• Foam Density: We use premium polyurathane foam cores with a density of 2.81 lb/ft³ (45 kg/m3), well above the standard high-density threshold (23kg/m3). This open-cell foam provides a springy, supportive bounce back.
• Low-Density Warning: Foams with a density lower than 1.8 lb/ft³ collapse over time. We can adjust density levels higher or lower based on your preference.
• French Daybeds: Constructed with a 7.5-inch high-density foam core with no metal bars or springs.
• Batting: We wrap foam cores in a layer of cotton Dacron batting to reduce friction between the foam and upholstery fabric, extending comfort and longevity.
Depending on the specific piece (sofas, chairs, ottomans), we craft support using:
• Eight-Way Hand-Tied Springs: Traditional, top-tier comfort.
• Sinuous / Serpentine Springs: Heavy-gauge steel zigzag springs.
• Webbing: Durable elastic or non-elastic nylon/rubber straps.
• Coil Springs: Individually pocketed or grid-attached steel springs.
• No-Sag Springs: Resilient zigzag metal springs.
• Drop-In Coil Units: Pre-assembled coil spring frames
• Indoor Pillows: Stuffed with premium goose down feathers. (If you have allergies, we offer Trillium or down alternatives upon request).
• Outdoor Pillows: Stuffed with lightweight, hypoallergenic, quick-drying outdoor polyester fiberfill.
Our French daybed sofas are fully hand-upholstered with zipper closures. Our covers are removable. Kindly note that due to the kind of upholstery fabrics we use, we do not recommend machine washing the covers. We recommend dry cleaning only. If you have pets or small children, we offer customized protective seating pads to layer over your modules.
Outdoor modules are engineered specifically to resist weather and humidity:
• Fabrics: Covered in water-repellent/water-resistant fabrics where water beads off.
• Base: Bottoms feature breathable mesh fabrics to assist drainage and prevent mold.
• Foam & Batting: Built with mildew-resistant, acoustical-performance Dacron outdoor foam and quick-drying Dacron wraps.
• Internal Frame: Internal wooden support structures are replaced with stainless steel mechanisms to eliminate rot, fungus, and rust.

Care & Maintenance
Sunlight: Protect fabric from direct, prolonged sunlight to prevent fading.
Pilling: For velvet, bouclé, or plush fabrics, use a fabric defuzzer / anti-pilling machine periodically.
Washing: Do NOT machine-wash covers at home. Entrust cleaning to a professional upholstery dry cleaner.
Spills: Act immediately. Gently blot (do not rub) with a dry, white cloth.
Stains: Blot delicately with a slightly damp white cloth, working from the outer edge of the stain inward.
We do offer replacement covers for you at an additional cost. Please feel free to contact us.
Yes! Upholstery velvet is far easier to maintain than commonly thought. Vacuum it regularly with a soft brush attachment. Promptly blotting liquid spills before they penetrate the base cloth will keep velvet looking pristine
Outdoor furniture has specific care and maintenance protocols depending on exposure conditions. Please contact us directly for customized care instructions.
Warranties, Returns & Cancellations
Because production begins almost immediately after order confirmation, we cannot accept order modifications or cancellations once an order is placed.
Because every piece is custom-built to order to your specifications, we cannot offer returns, exchanges, or refunds
